On Saturday, October 21, Fulbright Fellowship poet Anna Elkins will speak at Writers Forum. Elkins introduces her topic with a quote from Richard R. Nebuhr. Pilgrims are poets who create by taking journeys. Her presentation will “explore where writing takes us by delving beneath our surface impressions.”
This program will include optional audience participation with writing exercises throughout.
Anna Elkins is a traveling poet and painter. She earned a BA in art and English and an MFA and Fulbright Fellowship in poetry. Anna has written, painted, and taught on six continents. Her art hangs on walls around the world, and she has published four books, including the poetry collection, The Space Between. www.annaelkins.com
Writers Forum meets from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm monthly on the second Saturday (except for July and August) in the All Saints Episcopal Church Memorial Hall located at 2150 Benton Drive, Redding, CA. Doors open at 10 am. The public is welcome to get acquainted with two free visits before joining. Annual membership dues are $25.
