On March 26, 2019, a Shasta County jury found Megan Jane Davis guilty of one count, driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and one count, driving with a 0.08 or higher blood alcohol level.

On November 21, 2018, Davis was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-5. She left the scene and was later contacted by California Highway Patrol Officer Jose Hagus-Tabarez. Officer Hagus-Tabarez determined Davis was under the influence of alcohol. Breath test results indicated Davis’s blood alcohol level was a 0.12%.

The case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Kacie Johnson. Sentencing is set for March 27, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. in Department 3.
