On Oct. 1, 2017, the Whitmore Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. hosted their annual Whitmore Trail and Poker Run; while the Whitmore Community Center held an Indoor Flea Market and served a great barbecue lunch.  The Community Center was pleased to make over $300 for their organization.  The Trail and Poker Ride had attracted 36 participation riders and through the raffles, silent auctions, and rider’s fees the event brought in $1500.

LOW HAD: Bobbi Hascall from Whitmore — $50                              

LONGEST DISTANCE TRAVELED:  Patricia Price from Red Bluff — Four Bales of Grass Hay

OLDEST RIDER:  Fred Moffit from Anderson — Two bottles of some great wine

YOUNGEST RIDER:  Aaron Anliker (10) from Cottonwood —  A pot of candy, huge bag of carrots, and two different toys

The Trail and Poker Run organization would like to thank their volunteers for helping with the during the event. “Thank you to Ed and Linda McCoskey for another GREAT TRAIL.  Thank you to our Firecrackers for manning the tables, setup, and clean up!  And, thank you to our firefighters Jeff and Sara West, Don Cook, and Josh Patrick for manning the event as well.”

Emily Nicora won one of the raffle winners.

The organization would also like to thank the community of Whitmore and businesses that contributed to their raffles, prizes for the winners, and silent auction.  “Your contributions are appreciated for the ongoing support of our volunteer fire company!” said event organizer Debbie Nicora.
