The 48th annual Shasta College Horticulture Department Spring Plant Sale will be held Thursday and Friday, April 11th and 12th from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 13th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the Shasta College campus at the Farm.
This sale is planned and staffed by the Shasta College Horticulture Club and will feature a variety of plants all grown by students. Selection of plants will include annual flowering, perennial, herb, berry, succulent and vegetable plants, trees, and shrubs, California native plants and house plants. Many plants are hard to find or unusual and are all selected to grow in the Redding area.
A large selection of certified organic vegetable starts and drought tolerant landscape plants will also be available. Plants are carefully selected to do well in the local climate and all plants have been grown using sustainable practices and no pesticides. All proceeds will help support Shasta College’s Horticulture Program and student scholarships.
Come see the beautiful displays showcasing a variety of plants that will be on sale.
Shasta Master Gardener, Native Plant Society members or Horticulture student or faculty will be available to answer any of your gardening questions. The California Native Plant Society (CNPS) will also be on site selling a wide selection of California Native plants to raise funds for local student scholarships and restoration.
