Charles Candelaria Foundation Annual Scholarships Awarded

Redding, CA—The Trade School at SBE is pleased to announce the recipients of 2018
Charles Candelaria Scholarship Awards to—Roman Madrid, Electrician Trainee level 1
Nikita Plesa, Electrician Trainee level 3

As longtime members of the Shasta Builders’ Exchange Redding Tile and Stone Works have
once again shown their support of the students at the Trade School at SBE. Through their nonprofit the Charles Candelaria Foundation, named for the late founder of Redding Tile and an enthusiastic tradesman, this year’s scholarships were awarded on June 12th. Candelaria believed strongly in training and education in the trades. His namesake foundation awards tuition scholarships to worthy students each year.

The Trade School at SBE was honored to collaborate with Redding Tile and the Charles
Candelaria Foundation. Students are chosen based on their strong work ethic and desire to
succeed in their trade.

Both Roman and Nikita will continue towards their completion of the 4 year Electrician Trainee Program. These two students have shown strong academic and work ethics. We look forward to their continued success on their career pathway to journeymen.
