Redding Christian 60 Mendocino 48:

Redding Christian took care of business Thursday night, coming back after a rough start to defeat Mendocino (21-6) in the Norcal State Quarterfinals 60-48.  Sophomore Drew Nelson-Crowell scored 18 on 9-17 shooting, and added 7 rebounds, and Austin Larson contributed 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists.  Jackson Black acted as a catalyst for ball movement with 10 assists, and Ty Vickery spread out the defense with 3 3-pointers and 12 points, while Shane Harper added 5 points and 5 rebounds.

The Lions fell into a 15-10 hole in the first, but had closed the gap to take a slight halftime lead, then opened it up to double digits by the end of the 3rd, then maintained the lead during the 4th.

The 32-0 2nd seeded Lions will play 3 seed Jewish Academy of San Francisco (21-6), who beat Vacaville Christian 59-39 in their quarterfinal game.  On the other side of the bracket, American Christian and Cornerstone Christian of Antioch, the 4 and 1 seeds respectively, will play in the other semifinal game, also on Saturday.
