On Thursday, 11/8/18, at approximately 7:00 a.m., a search warrant was served at 70 year old Wade Pershall’s residence in Shasta County.  The search warrant was conducted in regards to an investigation of Parshall being suspected of possessing of methamphetamine for the purpose of sales.

Upon arrival, Shasta County Sheriff’s Office deputies and agents from the Shasta County Interagency Narcotics Task Force (SINTF) contacted Pershall and a female subject inside the residence.  Both subjects were detained, and a search of the residence and property was conducted.  Shasta County Sheriff’s Office K-9 “Thor” was utilized to assist in the search.  Thor alerted his handler to an area on the ground in a detached carport, which was located on the property.  Upon further inspection, a hole in the ground was discovered.  The opening of the hole was covered in an attempt to disguise and conceal its location.  Deputies and Agents located a bag containing 3.2 pounds of methamphetamine concealed at the bottom of the hole.  A further search of the residence reviled $6,000.00 bulk US currency, suspected to be the proceeds of illicit controlled substances transactions and other items indicative of narcotics sales.

Based upon the investigation, the matter was referred to the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office, requesting Parshall be charged with 11378 H&S, Possession of a controlled substance for sales.
