Future performance dates for Arthur Miller’s The Crucible are at 7:00 p.m. on  October 19th, 20th, 21st and a matinée performances at 2:00 p.m on October 22nd. All performances are at the Shasta College Theatre.

Dark desires and hidden agendas fuel extreme behaviors in this heart-pounding play, The Crucible, this October at the Shasta College Theatre. Based on the Salem Witch trials and inspired by the McCarthy hearings of the 1950’s, The Crucible will take you on an emotional roller-coaster ride of disturbing and often terrifying levels — perfect for Halloween thrill-seekers looking for something new and exciting!

The production features Shasta College students, faculty and community members, including Blake Fisher, Chelsea Bailey, Wylie Ernst and Mathew McDonald. The production is directed by Dr. Gregory Thorson, with David Fraser as the set designer, costumes by Hilary Fahey, lighting by Tim Dye and hair and makeup by Matthew McDonald.

A special student matinée performance will be performed at 11:00 a.m. on October 20th. This performance is for local high school and middle school students. Tickets are $12 for general admission, $10 for seniors and $5 for students. This production is rated PG. Online ticket sales close 3 hrs. and 30 mins. prior to the event, but seats are still available even if “SOLD OUT” is listed for the online ticket sales.Tickets may be purchased at the box office which opens one hour prior to the start of the event.Theatre entry doors for seating open one-half hour prior to the start of the event.
