On May 14, 2016, the Whitmore Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. is sponsoring their annual 41st Whitmore Mountain Music Faire with a silent auction. The Whitmore Mountain Music Faire and Silent Auction for both adults and children is one of the largest activities the Fire Company sponsors with attendance in the rural community with approximately 2000+ attendees. We do not charge an entrance fee to this event and all the activities are free. The auction is to raise funds to purchase the much needed supplies for the Volunteer Fire Department. The fire company receives on $1800 annually from the county and all the other funds needed for training and supplies come from the fundraising events. We need the supplies and fire fighting equipment for the fire and emergency services for the Whitmore Community and surrounding rural areas. The fire company services over 400 square miles, one of the largest in Shasta County and we are one of the few volunteer fire companies in Shasta County that need your support.
